Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America has introduced Diamond Gard, a new warranty program that pays for parts and labor resulting from any mechanical failures to its heavy duty aftermarket starters and alternators.

Diamond Gard is a no-fault, manufacturer's limited warranty. Coverage includes any Mitsubishi Electric All Makes (aftermarket program) starter or alternator sold prior to the launch date that falls within the standard Mitsubishi Electric All Makes warranty period of three years that fail under normal use and proper maintenance.

• The program covers all mechanical failures including overcrank
• Freight costs for all parts shipped under the warranty will be paid by Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America
• Claims must be submitted within 30 days of a product failure
• Mitsubishi Electric Automotive targets resolution of the claim within 30 days of receipt of the failed part
• Customers will be notified of claim resolution by email or by phone
• Payment will be made direct to the customer
• The warranty applies to both dealer and owner/operator-installed products
