OTC announced two new professional grade heavy-duty bearing cup installers-the OTC 5191 and OTC 5192, complementary products to the OTC 5190 heavy duty universal joint puller.
The 5191 bearing cup installer is ideal for installing wheel bearing cups on trailers, buses, and other Class 7 and 8 vehicles ranging from 11,000- to 50,000-pound capacity. The installer component is designed to fit precise manufacturing heights, permitting installation of bearing cups into universal joints without damaging the precision machined bearing surfaces. The 5191 bearing cup installer is also adjustable and engineered to fit Spicer SPL 140-, 170- and 250- "Life Series" drivelines.
Designed for almost all heavy duty truck and machinery type universal joints, the 5192 model is adjustable and engineered to fit Spicer Driveline Series 1610 to 1880. Engineered to reduce the risk of damage to needle bearings, the installer component enables accurate installation and alignment of bolt retained bearing cups.
