Urgent Care Travel opened its first urgent care location at the Pilot Travel Center on Strawberry Plains Pike in Knoxville, Tenn. The company plans to open as many as 100 urgent care sites at select travel center and travel plaza locations nationwide.

The next site will open in Oklahoma City, Okla., on June 5. UCT expects to open at least five more locations in 2013 with steady openings to follow, leading to the complete rollout of the first 100 sites by the end of 2016.

UCT is jointly owned by Urgent Care America and J&S Capital. Urgent Care America is an urgent care management services provider with a wide variety of supporting services specializing in urgent care.
Bob Perry, founder of Rolling Strong, will function as the Chief Development Officer for UCT.
