Universal Technical Institute started Daimler Trucks North America’s Finish First Technician Program at its Midwest campus today. The program focuses on manufacturer-specific advanced training, where UTI-Lisle students can get advanced training for Freightliner and Western Star commercial vehicles.

DTNA’s Finish First program has been available at UTI’s Avondale, Ariz., campus for the last six years. The program expanded to the campus in Lisle, Ill., because of the high demand for qualified truck technicians at DTNA dealerships nationwide.

The 12-week program teaches students about vehicle components such as suspension, brakes, steering, electrical and HVAC systems, as well as advanced multiplexed architectures featured in today's DTNA trucks.
