Refuse Trucks Driving Up Natural Gas Fuel Use

An increase in heavy-duty natural gas use is being driven by the refuse industry, which has been adding new natural gas-powered trucks in significant volumes, according to ACT Research.

Results reflect a 95% weighting of highway activity and 5% weighting of transient activity for a test vehicle with a combined weight of 60,000 pounds.

EPA Proposal to Exempt Gliders from GHG Regs Draws Criticism in Hearing
