Agility has initiated a CEO search process after Barry Engle announced that he will be leaving his role for an executive vice president position with General Motors.

In the interim, Bill Nowicke, the company’s chief operating officer, has been named Agility’s interim CEO and will work with Engle to ensure a smooth transition. Engle will remain a member of Agility’s board of directors and a shareholder of the company.

Mike Gallagher, Agility’s chairman of the board, praised Engle's contributions over the past four years. "He guided the company through a period of rapid growth, assembled a fantastic team and built a great foundation for continued success."

At GM, Engle will become a member of the GM Executive Leadership Team and serve as president, South America with responsibility for operations in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

Agility Fuel Systems, Santa Ana, Calif., develops turnkey natural gas systems for heavy trucks and buses, from concept to installation.
