Love’s Travel Stops announced that it would open a CNG location in Georgia, the company’s 18th CNG station and first in the state. The existing travel stop in Thomson, Ga., will be the location of the new fast-fill CNG pumps and it is scheduled to be available in spring 2015.

Love’s fast-fill pumps offer a rate of 10 gallons per minute and is available in lane with regular diesel and diesel exhaust fluid.

“Our network is rapidly growing largely because of customer demand,” said Bill Cashmareck, general manager of natural gas at Love’s. “Our initial CNG facilities in Oklahoma and Texas have been very well received and our customers are asking for it in additional regions.”

The new station was built in part to service CNG trucks from Werner Enterprises, which plans to buy eight CNG trucks for the Thomson area. Werner worked with Love’s to provide the company with a reliable place to fill up.

“Love’s has been a great business partner for many years as they’ve provided various services for our fleet,” said Steve Phillips, senior vice president of fleet resources for Werner. “Adding CNG at a growing number of locations, Thomson in particular, will help us run our business more efficiently.”
