Blu will officially open Indiana’s first liquefied natural gas refueling facility, according to the company. The new Blu LNG Station is located in Sellersburg, Ind.

LNG is natural gas that has been refrigerated to temperatures below minus 260 degrees, turning the gas into a liquid. LNG is cleaner-burning and more cost-effective for trucking and logistics companies than diesel, costing between $1.00 and $1.25 less per diesel gallon equivalent.

Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Blu builds and operates liquefied natural gas fueling stations and provides integrated LNG solutions for heavy-duty trucking, marine, mining and other industrial applications. It currently has 16 operational stations.
