There is a new indication the federal government’s probe into the truckstop chain Pilot Flying J is aimed at the heights of the company.

Pilot Flying J executive Jay Stinnett, who worked as a senior sales director at the Knoxville headquarters began cooperating with the federal investigation the same day federal agents raided the company’s corporate headquarters in mid-April

The Tennessean newspaper is reporting this after a plea agreement with Stinnett was recently unsealed.

Read more about this, including Stinnett’s claim that senior management was aware of the alleged scheme in which the company bilked trucking customers out of money they were due in the form or rebates from fuel purchases in order to pump up Pilot Flying J profits.

Stinnett is one of five Pilot Flying J employees who have pled guilty to federal charges.
