A briefing on changes to the hours of service regulations will be held in the form of an audio conference on May 8, sponsored by TCA's Truckload Academy.

The conference will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) and is open to trucking CEOs, controllers/operators, human resources and safety department personnel.
Last week, the FMCSA issued the first significant revision of the hours of service regulations in more than six decades. Due to the importance of this issue, TCA is offering this HOS audio conference at half-price -- $65.
Speaking will be high-level safety professionals and peers in the industry as they discuss the following:
-- How have the critical HOS rules changed?
-- How will the HOS changes impact on a carrier's operations?
-- What do trucking companies need to do to comply with the new requirements?
Audio conference panelists include Dave Osiecki, vice president of safety and operations for American Trucking Assns,; Jeff Davis, vice president of safety and human resources for Jet Express Inc.; and Dick Reiser, vice president and general counsel for Werner Enterprises Inc.
Live site hook-up and materials are $65 per site for TCA members and $79 per site for non-members.
For audiotape and materials only, the cost is $45 for audio conference participants who are TCA members and ATA members; $65 for audio conference participants who are not TCA members and ATA members.
Participants simply dial in on a speakerphone and have as many employees as they want listen in — all for one low price.
