Questions Arise Over Appointment of Pilot Flying J Committee Head

As lawsuits continue to mount against the truckstop chain Pilot Flying J, its board of directors has appointed a head of a special committee overseeing an internal investigation along with what it calls a “special independent council,” but questions are quickly being raised about one of the choices.

Trucking Company Files Lawsuit Against Pilot Flying J Following FBI Raid

A lawsuit is seeking class action status to represent “all persons or entities who have sustained economic losses as a result of [Pilot Flying J’s] wrongful withholding of rebate funds.”

A trucking company has filed what is the first known lawsuit against truckstop operator Pilot Flying J stemming from allegations of fraud against its customers.

Shorepower I-5 Corridor Complete

Shorepower Technologies recently completed the installation of power pedestals and held a grand opening at the Pilot Flying J Travel Plaza in Frazier Park/Lebec, Calif.

Truck drivers can now drive the entire length of U.S. Interstate 5 between Seattle and San Diego and parallel State Route 99 in California and get restful sleep without idling the truck engine, running down batteries or firing up an APU.

Shell, TA Finalize LNG Network Agreement

Shell and TravelCenters of America have finalized plans to build a network of liquified natural gas fueling stations.

Shell and TravelCenters of America announced Monday they finalized an agreement to develop a U.S. nationwide network of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling centers for heavy-duty fleet customers and plan to have the first station operational in about a year.
