EPA Awards $20 Million Contract For Emissions Research

EPA Chief: Fuel Prices Won't Affect Pending Truck Fuel Economy Proposal

Poll: Americans Want More Fuel Efficient Trucks

Diesel Particulate Filter Sales Soaring in California

Sales of diesel particulate filters for commercial trucks and buses in California increased at the end of 2013 and in the first half of 2014 compared to the first half of 2013, according a survey released by the Manufacturers of Emission Controls Association.

Report: Natural Gas, Aerodynamics Will Help Meet Future Fuel Economy Goals

The report recommends that NHTSA and EPA develop a separate standard for natural gas vehicles, as is presently the case for diesel and gasoline-fueled vehicles.

Expanding the use of natural gas as a transportation fuel and greater use of aerodynamic devices on trailers are among the strategies recommended by a new National Research Council report for reducing fuel consumption by tractor-trailers, transit buses, commercial vehicles, trucks, and other medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
