House Transportation Committee Sets Agenda

Trucking issues rank high on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee agenda for the coming year. The committee, which met earlier this week to set its oversight plan and confirm leadership positions, will be keeping an eye on national freight policy, on tolling activities in the states, on the CSA safety enforcement program and on the hours-of-service rule

Court Schedules Oral Arguments in Hours of Service Case

Oral arguments in the lawsuit challenging the hours of service rule will be held March 15 at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. It typically takes the court two to three months to rule following arguments, which means it should hand down its decision before the new HOS rule is scheduled to take effect in July
