C.R. England Opens New 48,000-Square-Foot Terminal in California

C.R. England, one of the nation’s largest refrigerated carriers, celebrated the opening of a new terminal in Colton, Calif., Wednesday, and announced the addition of 10 new liquified natural gas powered trucks to the company’s Southern California fleets.

C.R. England Opens IdleAir Facility at Laredo, Texas, Terminal

C.R. England has opened a new IdleAir facility at its terminal at 8422 Amparan Road in Laredo, Texas. The 24-space IdleAir facility provides C.R. England drivers with in-cab services that provide heating and air conditioning, Internet connectivity, television, and 110-volt electrical, completely eliminating the need for idling.

Settlement Reached in Long-Running Truckstop Battle Against Comdata

A $130 million legal settlement has been reached for a class of more than 4,000 independent truckstops and other retail fueling merchants following an antitrust lawsuit filed in 2007 against fleet payment card issuer Comdata and three national truckstop chains.

UPS Adding to Natural Gas Fueling Network, Adding More Tractors

UPS plans to invest approximately $50 million to build an additional nine liquefied natural gas fueling stations, bringing the total number of stations to 13. Four were announced in April, and all should be operational by the end of 2014.
