Sacramento County to Demo Electric Refuse Trucks

​Sacramento County (Calif.) will be testing out two battery-electric heavy-duty refuse trucks to see how they compare with diesel and natural gas vehicles. The county will demo the TransPower "ElecTrucks" at no cost for two years.

Bakery Fleet Orders AMP Electric Vans

A national bakery company has placed the first orders for the AMP/Workhorse E-100.

AMP Holding Inc. has announced that its AMP Trucks subsidiary has received an initial purchase order for Workhorse E-100 Walk-In Vans from a national bakery company. The Workhorse Electric Vans have a range of up to 100 miles and will be built on the W62 chassis.

Report Concludes Zero-Emissions Trucking Feasible in Europe by 2030

A report commissioned by the International Council on Clean Transportation has found battery-electric and fuel cell electric trucks could be feasible in Europe by 2030. The report was produced by CE Delft in the Netherlands and the German Aerospace Centre and surveyed leading-edge zero-emissions technologies for both short- and long-haul on-road freight carriers.
