Cummins has released the Inline 7, a data link adapter for diagnostics offering Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as traditional wired functionality.

The Inline 7 has a faster processor, more robust algorithms, larger memory buffers and more sophisticated filtering than previous models while simultaneously accessing multiple vehicle data channels. It is designed for compatibility with current and future mobile and PC applications.

Inline 7 is compliant with the TMC’s RP1210 standard and supports three simultaneous CAN connections and 250K, 500K and 1M baud rates. Inline 7 also supports other protocols including J1708, J1587, ISO 15765 and ISO 9141 K and L lines.

It is designed to work with Cummins, OEM and third-party service and information tools, including Insite, InPower, and PowerSpec. Inline 7 is now available through a Cummins distributor.
