First Advantage Fleet Solutions is offering an integrated online employment application and screening product designed for private and for-hire fleets called DOT Direct.

DOT Direct allows fleets to receive applications online and screen them at scale. Fleets can post openings on their own website, a third party website or email a potential candidate a linking them to the Dot Direct portal.

The portal lets fleet hiring managers collect, sort and share applications. The applications are DOT compliant and omission free and can be leveraged against First Advantage’s screening capabilities.

“DOT Direct helps fleets get more qualified driver candidates in their funnels to begin with and produces a higher yield of top-quality drivers as a result,” said Mark Carlson, senior director sales for First Advantage Fleet Solutions.

The DOT Direct system is automated and cloud-based to streamline the process. The applicant is prompted automatically to fill out all required areas of the application and protects sensitive information like Social Security numbers which reduces a fleet’s exposure to confidential information.

DOT Direct screens applications for driver qualification and background information related to criminal history, verifications, substance abuse and motor vehicle records. First Advantage criminal history searches include county and national searches for felony, misdemeanor and sexual offenses while verification provides information on SSN, credit history, education, employment and CDL.

It also includes international searches for domestic hires and substance abuse screening using DOT drug and alcohol, urine, breath alcohol and medical review officer reports.
