McLeod Software is releasing version 15.1 of its LoadMaster, PowerBroker and LoadMaster LTL software products.

This major update includes a variety of new capabilities and functions for McLeod Software users. Prominent in version 15.1 are improvements aimed at carriers and logistics companies that manage all types of intermodal shipments.

McLeod’s new master order concept allows carriers to manage transportation orders that might have multiple containers, deliveries, dray moves, and possibly several rail moves within a single customer order.

The LoadMaster and PowerBroker systems can now send messages and information through SMS text or email to facilitate better communication with drivers. Messages can be associated with an order or movement and can be filtered by driver, date, or user. This feature gives customers another communication option with drivers for concise and detailed information about load assignments.

The LoadMaster LTL Cross Dock Manager now has a more robust trip details display. It features tendered dates to assist in the audit of age for each shipment during outbound routing.

Also, a Key Performance Indicators Dashboard was added to LoadMaster LTL. The dashboard displays real-time metrics such as order totals, quotes entered, pickups entered, and bills of lading entered throughout the day.

As part of update 15.1, McLeod’s Carrier Broker exchange has been enhanced and rebranded as the McLeod Market Insight Module. The Market Insight Module brings together rate information for truckload and brokered truckload shipments.

The information covers hundreds of markets across North America and is compiled from the actual order rate history for actual shipments made by companies that are McLeod Software customers. The information can be used to give McLeod users insight about actual rates that similar companies are getting for truckload freight in any given lane within time periods of 1, 7, or 28 days.
