As part of Omnitracs LLC’s global user conference Feb. 8 – 11 in Dallas, the company’s Roadnet Technologies business unit unveiled new products and enhancements.

The new Roadnet Insight is a business intelligence tool that collects data from other business applications including planning, dispatching, asset and vehicle tracking and telematics systems. The application presents the data in a way that users can easily see critical information relating to their operations.

Insight is a cloud-based technology that is fully compatible with a company’s on premise or SaaS applications and is fully integrated with other Roadnet products. Insight is designed to track all things happening within a company to deliver accurate data so managers can track trends and then trace them back to the events that caused them.

Roadnet also announced its telematics offering now has a tighter integration with routing, dispatching, proof of delivery and the Insight analytics application. The company said integrating telematics more closely with other applications provides customers with greater visibility of their vehicles and overall operation.

Also introduced was Roadnet Anywhere Tracking, a web-based workforce tracking application designed to provide fleet managers an always-on level of visibility in drivers’ work day and real-time location via GPS positioning. The application requires no additional hardware and can be installed on smartphones and tablets.
