NASHVILLE – Fleets using TMW Systems’ TL2000 transportation management system and Omnitracs’ thin client AS/400 integration and mobile computing platforms gain increased features and enhanced integration via new integrations announced at TMW Systems’ Transforum user conference here Sept. 21.

Omnitracs said the AS/400 integration for TL2000 enables users of version R2024.0.01 to make use of all of Omnitracs’ portal features, including mapping, geofencing and global groups, through a more modern user interface that can display such features.

Omnitracs also announced an integration between its Drive Workflow application and later versions of TWM TotalMail, which it said would help fleets improve driver communication and productivity. Also available is an integration that links ALK RouteSync and Omnitracs’ mobile devices to deliver vehicle route data to TMW Suite’s back office applications.

David Post, Omnitracs president and chief operating officer, said carriers increasingly want to make better use of data. Fleets use various technologies to “analyze the data to make it more meaningful.” Integrating that data with a fleet’s other systems is major part of that. “Our job is to make the data accessible.”
