Blue Tree Systems' R:Com Temperature Management System is now able to communicate in both directions with DataTrak-equipped Carrier Transicold transport refrigeration units, giving dispatch control over the reefer units from the back office.

The R:Com System can connect to and remote control all Carrier single and multi-temp truck and trailer refrigeration units using microprocessor control systems dating to 1996.

R:Com was previously available on Carrier units with one-way communication from the unit to the home office. This approval now gives Carrier Transicold customers two-way remote-control functionality so they can change set-points, clear alarm codes, perform pre-trips and more, from dispatch.

This is in addition to the advanced temperature monitoring and recording functionality that Blue Tree Systems already provides for Carrier refrigeration units and other competitive systems. Transportes can react quickly to load rejections by quickly generating temperature reports in graph or tabular format that can be emailed directly to the end customer in seconds as accurate proof of in-transit temperatures.
