The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has advised that a scheduled outage of its online information systems will take place starting today at 9:00 p.m. EST and extend through Sunday, Nov. 20, at 8:00 p.m. EST.

The shutdown will allow the agency to transition to a cloud-based setup.

“Due to scheduled upgrades, access may be limited to some of FMCSA’s information systems starting on Thursday, November 17,” the agency stated in a public notice. “System access is anticipated to be available starting on Monday, November 21 and service will be restored as soon as possible.

FMCSA added that its safety and enforcement programs and activities "will be unaffected during this period."
