Bestpass has introduced an exclusion zones feature that sends alerts to fleet managers to allow them to catch instances of unplanned toll usage or company policy breaches.

Exclusion zone reporting can be received quickly, allowing for immediate corrective efforts with drivers and avoiding the unnecessary accumulation of tolls and other fees. An exclusion zone can be defined on a user-by-user basis to include any area or timeframe in which entry or exit is not allowed.

Bestpass customers are able to set up and monitor entire tolling facilities or any of the specific toll collection points that are part of the company’s service network. Users can also monitor certain days or times of day.

The Bestpass exclusion zone feature sends users a daily or weekly report that details how many exclusion infractions have occurred in that time period. It also tracks the specific toll transactions that have occurred in each targeted exclusion zone.

The exclusion report includes transponder numbers and license plates to help address usage with drivers.

“Our exclusion zone technology and service ensures that lines of communication between fleet managers and drivers remain open and that standards and expectations are clear and being met,” said John Andrews, president and CEO of Bestpass.

In addition to the new exclusion zone feature, Bestpass has expanded its national tolling network to include coverage in Florida and Kansas.

The company is also adding coverage in Oklahoma and Texas in early 2016 and announced a collaboration with Detroit International Bridge Company to streamline toll service on the Ambassador Bridge that connects Detroit, Mich., and Windsor, Ontario.

Bestpass provides bulk purchasing and a toll management services to commercial fleets that is compatible with a number of toll facilities and weigh station bypass networks. For more information, click here.
