Cummins has appointed Amy Boerger vice president of its North American engine business unit effective April 1.

In her new role, Boerger will continue her leadership of engine business interests in North America including field sales and support, central national account teams, truck bus, and industrial OEMs.

Boerger was most recently serving as the executive director for North American engine business. She was part of the heavy-duty, mid-range and light-duty engine business leadership team where she led sales and customer support.

She has more than 30 years of experience in sales and service, OEM management, and has held leadership roles in Cummins Emission Solutions and the Cummins Engine Business. Boerger was a finalist for the 2014 Most Influential Woman in Trucking.

She participates in Act 1, the Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry, which seeks to enhance the industry's business environment through relationship building and the exchange of innovative ideas. Boerger also serves on the American Transportation Research Institute's Research Advisory Committee.

"Amy continuously leads by example whether she is managing customer relationships or solving complex customer problems and we look forward to her increased leadership role," said Srikanth Padmanabhan, vice president of HMLD Engine Business. "She is highly respected both inside and outside of Cummins and her energy and experience will help drive us forward."
