Penske Automotive Group appointed industry veteran Richard Shearing as the president of its commercial vehicle dealership business. Penske also renamed its dealership business Penske Commercial Vehicles, US.

Shearing was previously with Daimler Trucks North America as vice president of national accounts. At DTNA he also served as general manager of component sales and director of product strategy. Shearing has extensive experience with Freightliner trucks, account management, strategy and customer relations, says Penske.

Shearing will be relocating to the Penske Commercial Vehicle headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

“We are pleased to welcome Rich to the Penske Automotive Group team,” said Roger S. Penske, chairman of Penske Automotive Group. “His depth of knowledge and experience will strengthen our team and provide a guiding hand as we continue to build scale in the commercial vehicle business in the United States.”
