Southeastern Freight Lines opened a new service center in Van Buren, Ark., near Fort Smith. The facility is located at 323 Access Road in Van Buren and was opened in response to growing business in the area.

The new service center has sustainable features including motion detectable lighting and LED swing arm lighting to more efficiently conserve power. Southeastern’s black eagle company logo will be emblazoned onto the side of the service center building.

“By increasing capacity and improving delivery efficiency, the new Van Buren facility will help to increase Southeastern’s quality of service throughout the Sun Belt,” said Scott Lackie, service center manager for Southeastern in Van Buren.

The facility was set to officially open and begin operations Nov. 21.
