PS Logistics, the parent company of P&S Transportation, has purchased Purdy Brothers Trucking and Loudon County Trucking.

The acquisition of the Tennessee-based carriers adds a combined 220 new drivers, 210 tractors and more than 500 trailers to the P&S fleet, offering reefer, flatbed and dump trucking services, according to PS Logistics.

Both companies will continue to operate under their current names.

PS Logistics said the deal gives it new trucking terminals in Tennessee, Florida, Illinois and Virginia, and adds new customers in the aluminum, steel, food and building materials sectors.

Terms of the transaction have not been released.

“The acquisition is part of PS Logistics’ long-term strategy to provide growth and sustainability for drivers, carrier partners, employees and customers by expanding its base of trucking and logistics services,” the company said in a statement.

Based in Alabama, P&S Transportation is a flatbed logistics and trucking company, primarily serving customers in the building materials, oil and natural gas, and steel industries. With more than 1,500 trucks and 16 terminals, the company primarily operates lanes between the Southeast, the Northeast, Texas, California, and the Midwest.
