Former Roadrunner Transportation Systems executive Donald R. Foust has been named president of YRC Worldwide’s regional less-than truckload operation New Penn, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The move happened earlier this month with Foust replacing Stephen Gast, who had been with New Penn since 2006. Gast is now reportedly president of Wilson Trucking, located in Virginia.

Foust had been with Roadrunner since 2009.

According to Foust’s biography on the YRC Worldwide website, he has more than 35 years of freight transportation experience, including more than 20 years with Preston Trucking and a year with Yellow Transportation before it merged with Roadway forming what is now YRC Freight.

Foust is reportedly is one of several former Yellow and YRC Worldwide executives who have returned to the company since James Welch, former Yellow Transportation president, became CEO YRC Worldwide in 2011, who rejoined the company after the departure of now former CEO Bill Zollars.

New Penn provides next-day service through a network of 24 service centers in the northeastern United States, Quebec, Canada and Puerto Rico, according to the company website. It also provides service to parts of the West, Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. and all of Canada in conjunction with partner carriers with a fleet of more than 850 tractors and 1,700 trailers,
