ABF Freight System and the Teamsters Union have reached another extension on the current labor agreement while they wait on rank and file members to vote on a new labor agreement between the two sides.

This extends the expiration of the current pact until June 30 while the ratification process on the next five-year contract is underway.

This is the third extension of the current contract. Teamsters local leaders unanimously endorsed the new agreement in a little after mid-May.

Ballots will be mailed to Teamster-represented employees on June 3, and the votes are expected to be counted on or around June 27.
