When the New Hampshire Senate joined the House in approving a speed limit increase of 5 mph on interstate 93 from Canterbury to the Vermont border, Governor Maggie Hassan was still not keen on the idea. On Friday, with the backing of the Senate, Gov. Hassan now says she's ready to sign the bill into law.
The speed limit on the roadway would increase to 70 mph except over a stretch through Franconia Notch that narrow and winding.
