In 1988, with two eighteen-wheelers a new trucking company, founded by entrepreneurs Gary Hanke and Dan Lockard, began their first over-the-road haul.
They named their business Pegasus Transportation.
Twenty-five years, two-hundred-thirty trucks, and four-hundred employees later, Hanke and Lockhard believe their hands-on hard work, investments in technology, and persistence in building a family team has paid off.
A 25th anniversary celebration was held for their employees on Jan. 26. A program, including dinner, driver awards for 2012, a documentary video of their company history, was followed by a ceremonial distribution of their anniversary/history book.
This all led up to a concert by country singer, Lindsay Lawler, known and loved by truckers nationally as “The Highway Angel.”
