The American Trucking Associations' sold-out Summit on Natural Gas in Trucking will be held this week, Nov. 28-30, featuring natural gas heavyweights such as T. Boone Pickens.


The event starts with "Natural Gas 101: A Primer," by Rich Kolodziej, president of NGVAmerica, followed by a panel discussion of natural gas production. Top executives from Pilot Flying J, TravelCenters of America and Love's Travel Stops will discuss infrastructure hurdles.

The keynote address will feature natural gas advocate T. Boone PIckens, chairman of BP Capital Management, and Andrew Littlefair, president and CEO of Clean Energy Fuels.

Representatives from truck and engine makers will make up a panel discussing natural gas outlook from an equipment perspective, and another panel will cover retrofit options. Thursday will wrap up with a panel discussing balancing consideration for natural gas use.

Friday will feature a panel discussion on vehicle maintenance and facility considerations, as well as a panel of fleets talking about the business case for natural gas use.

Two congressmen will discuss the politics of natural gas, and the day wraps up with an ATA luncheon and guest speakers discussing future trends.
