I-75 South Reopens Early in Tennessee Following Landslide Repairs
The Tennessee Department of Transportation officially reopened all lanes on I-75 South in Campbell County
The Tennessee Department of Transportation officially reopened all lanes on I-75 South in Campbell County.
Traffic has been affected in that area since a landslide near Mile Marker 143 on March 8. Work was originally expected to be completed on Sept. 28.
"I want to applaud the work of our TDOT employees in delivering this project more than a month early," said TDOT Commissioner John Schroer.
Approximately 160,000 tons of graded rock and 206,000 tons of solid rock were put in place to rebuild the southbound lanes.
With the exception of final pavement marking on the northbound lanes, all work on this project is now complete. That pavement marking is scheduled to be finished by the end of next week, and will require no lane closures.
