U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Chattanooga, Tenn., hired Paul Bowman as the senior vice president of sales for its dedicated services business. This is a new position.
Bowman will report directly to Bill Farris, the senior vice president and general manager of dedicated services. He will lead new business development, client expansion, marketing, pricing and logistics design within the dedicated services business unit.
Bowman most recently was regional vice president of sales at Hogan Dedicated Services, where he oversaw new business development and key national accounts. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Ryder System, where he led all logistics, transportation and DCC sales in the Midwest.
"With his strong industry background and in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, Paul Bowman will be an excellent addition to our team," said Farris. "Our dedicated services area is a critical component in the overall success of U.S. Xpress, and I look forward to leveraging Paul's expertise as we work to grow and expand our services and market penetration."
