The Healthy Trucking Association of America's fourth annual Healthy Trucking Summit will take place April 24-26 in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center.

The 2012 event theme is "Raising Awareness to Taking Action." The summit will include presentations on obesity and weight loss, sleep disorders, hypertension and heart health, respiratory health and diabetes.

HTAA will also kick off the official industry-wide promotion of Drive4COPD, an awareness campaign for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The HTAA has teamed with the COPD Foundation to spearhead this health initiative designed to help people determine if they suffer from or at risk for COPD, the third leading cause of death in the U.S.

Each year for the Healthy Trucking Summit, the HTAA invites trucking industry leaders, including safety directors, human resources directors, recruitment and retention managers, and other trucking fleet and organization executives to attend the summit to network and receive information and resources to help drivers live healthier and longer lives.
