The Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association announced that Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) is this year's recipient of the Joseph M. Magliochetti Industry Champion award.

MEMA will honor Rep. Rokita with a luncheon during the annual Legislative Summit, which will take place Feb. 29 to March 1.

Rep. Rokita, who will speak at the summit, has been a leader and champion for motor vehicle parts manufacturers, MEMA says. He has authored and supported critical legislation to curb the National Labor Relations Board and other "burdensome" regulatory activity. He also led an effort to send a Congressional letter to the Government Accountability Office to encourage further study of the use of remanufactured products in federal fleets.

Other speakers for the Summit include political commentator Stu Rothenberg, former member of Congress Phil English, National Association of Manufacturers President Jay Timmons and American Highway Users Alliance President Gregory Cohen.
