The Independent Contractor Division of the Truckload Carriers Association will meet Sept. 11-12 at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites in Chicago.
In addition to remarks by TCA and Independent Contractor Division officials, the event will feature a presentation on "The Attack on the Independent Contractor Model -- Will it Survive." A panel of independent contractors will candidly discuss how the current economic times are affecting their lives and profitability and what they look for in a company.
Roundtables will address the benefits of joining the U.S. EPA's SmartWay program, how slowing truck speeds can lead to higher profits, and a focus group on the qualities of a stellar independent contractor.
