FTR Associates, Nashville, Ind., has finalized the agenda for the 2008 "America's Freight Transportation Through 2012" conference being held at the Indianapolis Crowne Plaza Downtown-Union Station Hotel Aug. 26-28.

The annual FTR Conference is dedicated to the presentation of macroeconomic data and its impact on the transportation industry. Guest speakers and FTR analysts at this year's conference will discuss how the current precarious freight environment is likely to affect all participants in the transportation industry in the short term and what the outlook is through 2012.

The conference will get under way on Wednesday, Aug. 27, with an overall economic outlook followed by a day and half of presentations covering the perspective of shippers, equipment operators, suppliers and analysts on intermodal, railroad, truck, air and water freight. Additional sessions will look at the current shipper environment and a rail car equipment outlook.
