Schneider National recently began offering its orientation program at three new sites - the Schneider National Operating Centers in Indianapolis, West Memphis, Ark., and Atlanta.
The company also will offer three new sites at the beginning of the year, expanding its network of nationwide orientation sites from six to 12.

The sessions held at the new locations are open to drivers who have gained professional truck driving experience either as an owner-operator or company driver. This is a paid orientation program, with lodging and meal expenses covered by Schneider; drivers who must travel more than 100 miles to an orientation site will be compensated for their transportation expenses. Orientations are offered on a weekly basis.

During the three-day orientation program, attendees receive an overview of pay, benefits and other Schneider offerings. They also learn operating tips to best use the driver's time and to better serve Schneider customers. Because safety is one of Schneider's core values, orientation leaders (who are former Schneider drivers themselves) focus on best practices for keeping the driver and the motoring public safe on the road.
