Six home furnishings carriers have agreed to merge operations into one new organization, World Wide Logistics.

The new company brings together specialized furniture carriers Four Truckers of Morganton, N.C.; Furniture Transportation Systems of Pomona, Calif.; Milwaukee Delivery Service of Jefferson, Wis.; Palmer Transport of Ontario, Calif.; Rudisill Transportation of Hickory, N.C.; and Warren Trucking of Martinsville, Va.

Building on the strengths and reliability of each individual carrier, World Wide Logistics (WWL) covers the largest geographic footprint of any asset-based specialized furniture transportation company, according to the company.

With combined revenues of approximately $100,000,000. World Wide Logistics (WWL) offers a one-stop solution for warehousing, distribution and logistics management to meet all of the transportation needs of manufacturers, importers and retailers. Warehouses and distribution centers strategically located throughout the US, including four on the West Coast, one in the Midwest, one in the Southwest and three on the East Coast, meet the international and regional transportation needs of customers.

Through its domestic distribution network and international alliances, WWL provides complete supply chain logistics services including LCL consolidation, direct containers, de-vanning, split container distribution and regional warehousing for local and home delivery.

WWL says it is the only specialized residential and office carrier to provide less than truckload service to all points in the US. These services are supplemented by an exclusive partnership with Western Logistics, a Canadian based specialized furniture carrier with 12 service centers throughout Canada.

The new headquarters for World Wide Logistics will be located in Western North Carolina.
