Packerland Transport announced that Robert Styczynski, Wayne Meyer, and Larry Nohr will be the first three individuals to be inducted into a newly created Driver Hall of Fame.

These drivers had distinguished careers at Packland, each accumulating over 3 million safe miles while consistently exhibiting the highest qualities of a professional truck driver.

Packerland Transport has established this Driver Hall of Fame to honor drivers who have attained outstanding achievements during their careers at Packerland. A driver must have accumulated at least 3 million safe miles as a Packerland driver, and be a Packerland retiree to be nominated. Selection criterion will not only include safety achievements, but the work record and character of the nominee.

A special induction ceremony is planned for May.

Packerland also recognized Milton Schwahn for accumulating 4 Million Safe Miles during his 35 years with Packerland. Schwahn has served Packerland with distinction over the course of his career and he will receive a special ring, which he helped design, to commemorate this outstanding achievement. Milt was also named the Packerland Transport Safe Driver of the Year for 2007, the second consecutive year he has won this award.

Packerland Transport is Smithfield Beef Group's refrigerated carrier and is based in Green Bay, Wis.
