Industry professionals and trade media once again have the opportunity to vote for the most innovative new products at The Work Truck Show 2008.
The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) New Product Innovation Award
and Editors' Choice Award for New Product Innovation will return to The Work Truck Show 2008.
The show is held in conjunction with the 44th Annual NTEA Convention, Feb. 26-28, 2008, (Convention runs Feb. 25-28) at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga.
As North America's largest work truck and trailer industry event, The Work Truck Show has become a primary platform for unveiling new chassis, commercial truck equipment, product innovations and accessories. Last year, more than 80 new products were unveiled at the show.
Exhibitors that participate in the New Product Spotlight program - a multi-media campaign that publicizes new products before, during and after the show - are automatically entered to compete for the New Product Innovation Award. Often referred to as the "attendees' choice award," the product receiving the most votes from Work Truck Show attendees wins.
SafeTec Platforms earned the 2007 New Product Innovation Award for its LineBacker work platforms.
Editors at The Work Truck Show use their industry expertise to select the winner of the Editors' Choice Award for New Product Innovation. Exhibitors who participate in the New Product Spotlight and/or New Product Media Guide programs are automatically entered to compete for this award.
The New Product Media Guide is a detailed compilation of new product literature provided by exhibitors and assembled by the NTEA for attending media.
The 2007 Editors' Choice Award for New Product Innovation went to Dodge for its family of commercial vehicles, including the 2008 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs and the Dodge Sprinter.
Award winners each receive a plaque, the right to mention the award in their product marketing, and additional publicity from trade media and the NTEA.
Award details and participation forms for exhibitors will be available from the NTEA in early August.
The Work Truck Show brings together vocational, municipal and private truck fleet managers and truck buyers from the market with hundreds of the manufacturers, distributors and dealers that produce the trucks and equipment critical to their work.
In this single location, attendees check out the latest full-size work trucks and equipment while examining individual vehicle components offered by 500 suppliers. The event also features industry-specific technical and business management training sessions.
