In its 36th year of operation, the Mid- America Trucking Show isn't pulling any punches. Even with the renovation of the East Wing, the show will have more than 1,000 industry leading companies
from the continental U.S. and 11 foreign countries and encompass just under one million square feet of exhibit space.
MATS continues to be the annual highlight of the heavy-duty trucking industry. With the 2007 show, MATS will once again retain its title as the biggest industry event of the year and maintain its place as the champion among trucking tradeshows.
Along with ground-breaking innovations and the latest in product unveilings, attendees will have access to revolutionary business solutions, cutting-edge technologies and the latest the trucking industry has to offer. Attendees are also invited to take part in educational seminars addressing industry issues, product and service demonstrations and vehicle test drives.
Visitors can visit specialized areas including, the Expediter Experience to learn more about this segment of the industry, Mid-America's Recruitment Center to see what trucking companies around the nation have to offer, and check out the latest technologies at Mid-America's Internet and Technology Center.
The 7th Annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship will once again showcase more than 100 breath-taking show trucks and for the third consecutive year, Mid-America presents the Big-Rig Build-Off to all in attendance. As with many of the exhibits, both the Truck Beauty Championships and Big-Rig-Build-Off have been moved to the west side of the Kentucky Exposition Center, just north of the Pavilion & Broadbent Arena.
MATS will offer many top-notch prizes, contests and entertainment during the show. Great American Insurance will be giving away a 2002 Freightliner Classic XL, enhanced by TV's famous Chrome Shop Mafia who will be on-site throughout the show signing autographs.
BP Lubricants will announce the winner of the monumental $50,000 Big Honkin' Truck Makeover and present the father/daughter drag racing tandem of John and Ashley Force. The Midnight Trucking Radio Network will welcome Country Music Legend Lorrie Morgan and baseball great Johnny Bench.
Finally, one of the most anticipated events of the year, Friday, March 23 at 7:30 Kenworth Truck Co. will present Big & Rich along with Cowboy Troy in concert as part of the 19th annual "Customer Appreciation Concert."
Traditionally, MATS has surpassed pre-show expectations, and preliminary indications are that the 2007 Mid-America Trucking Show will be heavily attended once again.
