Hollywood stunt driver and Pikes Peak champion Mike Ryan is attending this week’s 40th Annual World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif., with his one-of-a-kind hand-built Freightliner Century Class S/T race truck.

Ryan’s race truck is specifically designed for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb held annually in Colorado Springs. It’s equipped with a 1,250 horsepower Mercedes-Benz engine and has 2,700 pounds-feet of torque. The transmission is a ZF 5-speed that has been modified for racing. Suspension is a 4-link front end and three-link rear end, much like a sprint car. With a weight of 8,000 pounds, it has attained speeds of more than 100 mph. Mike Ryan Motorsports will be attending the World Ag Expo in conjunction with Shell Rotella T, a Shell Lubricant Co.
The 85th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007. Mike will be attempting record No. 7 with this being the 10th consecutive year competing in the hill climb.
