Kenworth Hosts Medium-duty Chassis Update Seminar at Work Truck Show

Kenworth Truck Co. will offer the latest information on Kenworth's Class 6 and Class 7 products during a chassis update seminar from 3 to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at the Indiana Convention Center

and RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
The session will be held in conjunction with The Work Truck Show sponsored by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA).
Kenworth will provide medium-duty product updates, information on the new 2007 Paccar PX-6 and PX-8 medium-duty engines, and the latest body builder updates. Kenworth engineers will be available to answer technical questions.
Gary Moore, Kenworth's assistant general manager for marketing and sales, said, "The Kenworth Chassis Update seminar offers customers an opportunity to learn more about new Kenworth's Class 6 and 7 models equipped with 2007 compliant Paccar PX-6 and PX-8 engines, exhaust systems, air brakes, and 22.5-inch or 19.5-inch wheels for vocational and various other applications."
Kenworth will display two 2008 model T300s in its booth (No. 3115) at the Work Truck Show. A Kenworth T300 Class 6 model with wheel lift-equipped rollback for recovery operations features the new Paccar PX-6 medium duty engine with 220 horsepower and 520 pounds-feet of torque. A Kenworth T300 Class 6 model with van body features the Paccar PX-6 medium-duty engine with 300 horsepower and 620 pounds-feet of torque. Both vehicles are equipped with a five-speed Allison 2000 series automatic transmission with a Kenworth in-dash electronic shift module.
The Kenworth T300 offers front axle ratings from 8,000 to 14,600 pounds and rear axles from 16,000 to 40,000 pounds. It is available in both Class 6 and 7 configurations for CDL and non-CDL use, and includes new Class 6 ratings of 24,000, 25,000 and 26,000 pounds GVWR.
Kenworth's medium-duty product line includes the new Kenworth K360 cabover, currently rated at 26,000 pounds GVWR. The K360 is ideal for urban pick-up and delivery companies, which require a highly maneuverable truck and use 22- to 26-foot bodies. The K360 is available with a 5.9-liter Paccar engine rated at 220 horsepower with maximum torque of 605 pounds-feet, and 6-speed manual transmissions in a 4x2 truck configuration with either a mechanical or air suspension.
