Minnesota-based truckload carrier Transport America has announced its July 2006 Drivers of the Month. Company drivers are Gordon Hutton, with Transport America for seven months; Todd Carson, a driver instructor,
with Transport America for one year; and Donald Wilson, a volunteer for the MS150 Bike Tour (an annual charity event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society), with Transport America for 11 years.
Professional contractors are Emmanuel Agbale, a driver instructor active on numerous boards, and a previous Driver of the Month, Driver of the Year and Million Mile Safety Award recipient, with Transport America for one and one-half years; Leonard Litzau, recipient of numerous safety awards, including an award for Two Million Miles Accident Free, with Transport America for 21 years; and Peggy and Ronald Shrout (Ronald is also a Million Mile Safety Award recipient), with Transport America for 17 years.
“Given the criteria, being selected as Driver of the Month is quite an accomplishment,” says Barry Mundt, director of Fleet Operations. “The company drivers and contractors recognized this month represent top performers at Transport America for the month of July. The selection criteria for Driver of the Month include on time customer service, safety and working percentage.
