Jevic Transportation Inc. announced the opening of a new, operational facility to serve customers in the Detroit metropolitan area, expanding its already strong presence in the Midwestern United States.
The company also has facilities in Cleveland and Cincinnati Ohio, and Chicago.
The new Detroit Metro Facility, located at 18577 on the Dix-Toledo Highway in Brownstown Township is well situated with easy access to Highway 75. It sits on 16.5 acres and has 20 insulated doors on an 8,000-square-foot dock. It also has 3,550 square feet of office space attached.
“This facility allows us to better respond to our customers in the Detroit area,” said Dave Gorman, Jevic president and CEO. “It allows us to be even more responsive to our Detroit customers and improve on our pick-up and delivery performance in the greater Detroit metropolitan region.”
