Decker Truck Line has announced that Michael Featherston has been selected as the August 2006 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the Flatbed division. Featherston lives in Wilmer, Texas. He is based out
of the Birmingham, Ala., terminal and has been with Decker since March of 2002.
Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Chris Cordie. Cordie resides in Klemme, Iowa. He has been with Decker since November of 2005.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing and customer service.
All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
