Schneider National Inc. has announced that Scott Arves, president of Transportation for the company, has resigned to pursue a new phase in his career.
Arves oversaw Schneider's Truckload and Intermodal businesses. Schneider also announced new leadership of its Truckload and Intermodal operations. Mark Rourke, currently general manager, Transportation Management at Schneider, has been named president of Truckload. Bill Matheson, who served as vice president and general manager of Intermodal, will now act as president, Intermodal, for Schneider National.
Arves provided more than 27 years of service to Schneider National. In May 2000, he was named president of Transportation. In this role, Arves had responsibility for a portfolio of Schneider truckload services, including One-Way, Dedicated, Expedited, Intermodal and Bulk.

Mark Rourke, who most recently served as general manager, Transportation Management at Schneider, has been named president of Truckload at the company. Rourke has held various leadership roles at the company since joining in 1987. As president of Truckload, he will lead Schneider's One-Way, Dedicated, Expedited and Bulk offerings, further bolstering the company's leadership position in all of these areas.
Bill Matheson, who most recently served as vice president and general manager of Intermodal, will now serve as president of Intermodal for Schneider National.
