Chromed engines, mountain blue prismatic paint jobs and trucks that light up the night are just a few of the highlights you can expect at the people’s choice SelecTrucks Best of Show competition.

Visitors attending the Truck World 2006 trade show at the International Centre in Toronto, Canada, later this month will be dazzled by some of Canada’s most beautiful big rigs and will get a chance to vote for their favorite. The winning truck will be announced at the show on Saturday, April 22 at 4 p.m.
“The design and customization that goes into these trucks is breathtaking’” said Elizabeth McCullough, show manager. “One of the featured trucks is not even built yet. The truck will be built just prior to the show, driven here by its owner and shown for the first time in Canada at Truck World.”
The show trucks are as unique as their drivers. Hand crafted from bumper-to-bumper, they have names like Just Chillin’, Big Bear, Blood Sweat and 30 Years and Tirediron. Some have logged more than 2.5 million miles, yet they look as new as the day they rolled off the lot. Visitors to Truck World are encouraged to visit the nine show trucks displayed at various locations throughout the exhibit hall at the Toronto International Centre and speak to their owners.
Plus, by voting, you qualify to win one of the daily drawings of a Truck World / highwayStar jacket worth $200.
Contest ballots will be available at the entrance to Truck World 2006, which rolls into town on April 20 through 23. Admission to Truck World is $20 at the door, or $10 if you register on line by today. With more than 400 exhibitors and 300,000 square feet of trucks, equipment and technology, Truck World is Canada’s largest truck trade show.
